By medical definition, infertility is the inability to naturally conceive a child in 12 months (or 6 months if you’re over 35.) That definition sounds innocuous enough but often there is intense pain, heartache and suffering that comes along with this deferred hope. Something you’ve always wanted and dreamed for your life just isn’t happening. There may be a reason or there may not be. It doesn’t matter that much… it’s painful just the same.

We experienced acute infertility for 4 ½ years before welcoming the resolution to our infertility in the adoption of our sons. We are still infertile, but the pain has decreased exponentially. I write about infertility a lot and my heart is so tender towards those who are walking through this path. Please read through our story, our experiences and feel free to reach out if you need someone to talk to.
